Loukia Paleologou (Greece)

Loukia Paleologou born in Athens, graduated from the Faculty of Music at the Ionian University of Corfu. At 19, she developed an interest in jazz in the Dimos Dimitriadis’ class and in George Kontrafouris’ class, where she studied saxophone, jazz piano and singing. She attended seminars given by famous jazz musicians such as Steve Lacy, Jeff Boudreaux, Marc Abrams, Anthony Anisegos, Evan Parker, Joe Tornabene, Mathew Barley and Savina Yannatou. She participated in concerts of contemporary music under the direction of Theodore Antoniou and Miltos Logiadis. As a solist, she played in the United States at the Berkley Performance Center, as a member of the International Association of Schools of Jazz with Dave Liebman, in England (in collaboration with the Jazz Orchestra of the University of York) And in Greece as an independent artist and as a member of the Ionian Jazz Ensemble of the Ionian University.
