Greek saxophonist and composer Dimitrios Vassilakis was born in Athens on 21th October 1961 and studied Chemical Engineering at the Athens University, where he completed a bachelor's degree (1986). He then moved to London and studied saxophone, piano and composition at the London College of Music. He graduated with honours with an additional Diploma in Classical Saxophone (1990) and won national competitions in the UK and was awarded the LCM Society prize.

Becoming a jazz singer seemed an unlikely prospect for Juliet who discovered her natural talent for singing at a local music workshop whilst studying for a degree in economics. She had never sung in public before but it wasn't long before she was completely hooked. Within a year she had auditioned for and been accepted on to the postgraduate jazz course at London's prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Since then, Juliet has released three critically-acclaimed albums that have garnered excellent reviews from critics in the UK and the US as well as widespread radio airplay.
