Nikos Kapilidis has been a prominent presence on the Greek and European jazz scene for 30 years. After a long break, he fronts a new band of excellent musicians. The quartet will perform compositions by Herbie Hancock, McCoy Tyner, Bill Frissell, Freddie Hubbard, Elvin Jones and Charlie Haden.

The Jazz for Kids project, designed for kidsaged 5 to …105, will be taking us on a musical journey through the history of jazz, while promoting creativity, innovation and solidarity. Music and rhythm will be used to experience multiculturalism and the universal language of emotions.

Cypriot-based Ioannis Vafeas (drums) Harris Ioannou (sax) are both master’s degree graduates from the Berklee College of Music Boston and have been members of the teaching staff of the University of Nicosia ever since 2009. Vafeas and Ioannou boast an extensive experience and a rich history of appearances at major festivals and concert halls throughout Europe and America. They formed their quartet with two young talented musicians, pianist Dimitris Miaris and bass Greg Makamian.
World renowned jazz guitarist & composer Spiros Exaras has worked with world famous jazz and pop artists such as Mariah Carey, Shirley Bassey, Mark Murphy, Dave Valentin, members of Spyro Gyra and members of Canadian Brass, to name just a few. He has released four albums as a leader and written original music for film and theater.
Jim Politis, a virtuoso Greek jazz guitarist, is the founder and lead guitarist of the Ethnic/Gypsy Jazz band “The Ghost Notes”. He has shared the stage with Stochelo Rosenberg of the “Rosenberg Trio” and Greek jazz pianist George Kontrafouris, among others, and appeared in international venues and festivals.
In Tinos they will perform songs ranging from classic to modern jazz, along with original compositions.
Manos Saridakisis one of the best-known musicians of the Greek jazz scene. In 2001, he moved to New York, where he worked as a professional musician for 10 years. He collaborated with heavyweights of the jazz scene, such as David Liebman, Ralph Peterson, Ron McClure and appeared as a sideman in Birdland, Blue Note NYC etc. In 2006, he was ranked among the 25 best jazz pianists in the world in the "Thelonius Monk Competition". Since then, he has been a part of numerous collaborations, recordings and television appearances both as a leader and sideman. His new record was released under the title «The Greek Real Book | Volume 1”.

"Pragma" (The Thing) is a jazz orchestra founded by Costis Christodoulou, a talented Greek pianist. Although based on swing and blues traditions, To Pragma creates its own original sound, wandering through various music paths and blending meditational soundscapes of flutes and drums with electronic space-like sounds, making for a bright and cheerful atmosphere.
