Flying Jazz Trio, led by guitarist and composer Stefanos Andreadis, featuring George Kontrafouris on Hammond organ and Nick Thessalonikefs on drums, presents the new album Confessions.
Confessions marks the fifth release from the Flying Jazz Trio, offering a fresh and cohesive take on the organ trio format. Composed by Andreadis and arranged collaboratively by the trio, the music balances soulful grooves, lyrical phrasing, and harmonic depth—blending tradition with a modern, personal touch.
At the heart of this recording is George Kontrafouris, a towering figure in Greek jazz and one of the country’s most respected international musicians. With his signature warmth and depth, Kontrafouris brings decades of artistry and influence to the project, enriching the trio’s sound with presence and soul.
Stefanos Andreadis, who holds a PhD in Composition from the University of Nottingham (UK), brings a broad musical perspective shaped by years of performing, composing, and collaborating across genres. His work reflects a commitment to melodic clarity, rhythmic openness, and thoughtful form. Alongside Nick Thessalonikefs, a dynamic and versatile drummer who studied in the Netherlands, this trio creates music that is both grounded and exploratory.
