Yiorgos Pantazopoulos studied the double bass at the Ionian University on the island of Corfu in Greece. Even since his student years he has been active in the local jazz scene, having performed with such artists as Dimitri Vassilakis, Gilad Atzmon and Jason Wastor, as well as the alumni band of the Ionian University – the Ionian Jazz All Stars. He is also a member of the Sunny Side Trio, whose debut album was released in the Spring of 2025.
