
The 14th Jazz on Tinos Festival is delighted to announce its Jazz Workshops on our beautiful island.
Applications are now open!
The workshops will take place alongside the 14th Jazz on Tinos Festival, from August 25th to August 28th. The clinics are aimed at students and musicians who wish to broaden their horizons in Jazz performance. It is the first time that Jazz clinics take place on an island of the Aegean and Tinos, with its rich history and natural beauty is the ideal spot for them.
With four days of creative courses concluding in a concert at the end of the workshops, the programme offers practical and educational classes that will enrich the musical abilities of the participants.
All the clinics and ensembles will be taught by professors of the Ionian University and the University of Athens as well as by celebrated musicians from Greece and abroad.
The artists in residence for 2023 are:

- Stefanos Andreadis – Guitar
- Gilad Atzmon – Saxophone, Clarinet
- Nassia Gofa – Voice
Lesson Program
Group Lessons: These daily lessons last an hour and a half and will cover material that is covered in a typical one on one instrument lesson. As a student you will be instructed on instrumental technique (tone, articulation, expression etc.), common practices and other relevant topics.
Vocal Lessons: This year’s program will focus on styles, technique, theory and performance skills. As a vocal student you will have the opportunity to study the style of your choice. You will also have the opportunity to perform with an ensemble.
Ensembles: All students will have the opportunity to take part in an ensemble with other students of a similar level. The ensembles will rehearse every day that the workshops take place and perform at the graduation concert on the final day.
Theory and Improvisation Masterclasses: These classes are open to all students. These lectures will cover a wide variety of topics, such as music theory and how to apply it to improvisation, compositional techniques, specific styles and their interpretation and lessons drawn personal experience. Part of the class will be devoted to a question and answer session, giving students the opportunity to explore the lecturer’s opinions and strategies for success.
Jam Sessions: Jam sessions will take place after the daily concerts of the Jazz on Tinos festival. They are open to all students.
Graduation Concert: On the final day of the Workshops, there will be a graduation concert at the concert hall of the Tinos Cultural Foundation, where students will be able to showcase what they have worked on during the workshops.
How Do I Apply?

- You will be notified of your acceptance to the Workshops program via e-mail, where you will also receive payment instructions.
- Payment for participation is made via bank transfer. In the comments section of the transfer, please state your full name and instrument. When you have completed the transfer please send the transfer statement to the following email: workshops@irida-music.gr Your place will be secured once we have received the email. The cost for participating in the 14th Jazz on Tinos Workshops is 350 euros.
