
Dimos Dimitriadis was born in Thessaloniki, where he startied his music studies and performances. He studied with a scholaship at Berklee College of Music (Βachelor of Music-Cum Laude) with Joe Viola, Jerry Bergonzi, George Garzone and Hal Crook and then he worked at Βennington College (Master of Music) collaborating with composers and music theorists such as Betsy Jolas and Joel Chadabe. Among his teachers were sax innovator Steve Lacy and pianist Mal Waldron.
He has collaborated with artists such as Tim Hagans, Adam Nussbaum, Sheila Jordan, Ron McClure, Chico Freeman, Keith Copeland, Jonathan Kreisberg, Christy Doran, Erik Ineke and Günter Sommer.
Since 2000 he teaches at the jazz department of the Ionian University and he is the head of the Jazz Studies Programme.
He has also taught at acclaimed music institutions. Among them are: Sibelius Academy, New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music (NY), Vienna Conservatory,Graz University for the Arts, Royal Conservatory the Hague, Bowling Green State University (Ohio), Newpark Music Centre (Ireland), University of Nicosia, European University (Cyprus).
His debut album as a leader “The Game” was released in 2006.
