Toumbas Marios has graduated from the Berklee College of Music receiving the distiction cum laude in music composition. He has also obtained a master’s degree in Jazz Studies, with distinction as well, from the England Conservatory of Music της Βοστόνης. He was a student of Charlie Banacos and Danilo Perez.

He has collaborated with famous jazz musicians from all over the world (Anthony Jackson, Tony Lakatos, Jeff Richmond, Brett Garsed). He has appeared in renowned jazz festivals such as the Montreal Jazz Festival in Canada, the Dusseldorf Jazz Rally in Germany and others, as well as in celebrated jazz clubs and music halls around the world (such at the Royal Festival Hall in London, the Sun City Music Hall in Johannesburg, Megaron the Athens Music Hall and others).

He teaches jazz music in the European University, in Nicosia Cyprus since 2009 and he is also a teacher of the international organization Jazz Education Abroad.
