Dimos Dimitriadis will present excerpts from his works Dream Modes and Songs in Revolution. Dream
Modes draws inspiration from Duke Ellington’s words: ‘Ideas? I’ve got a million dreams. That’s all I do, I
dream.” Creation as a dream state.
Songs in Revolution consists of melodies and songs from Europe and the Mediterranean in the past that
have found their way into our current acoustic experience, being transformed from the past to the present
through jazz. It is a contemporary yet primitive approach. It is creative play with rhythm and melodic
improvisation.
